You gave life to me, a part of you…
You gave light to it, and brought me out…
You nurtured with care, lots of time to spare…

As I grew up, you grew with me…
As I learned, you learned with me…
As I failed, you stood by me…

When I enjoyed, you stayed with me…
When I won, you applauded for me…
When I lost, you encouraged me…

As a kid, never did I realize that my life is nothing without you,
You created, molded and shaped it…

When I had troubles as a grown-up I searched for someone
Out in the crowd to help me, to soothe me, to hold and care for me!!!
My search just went on and on…
I found no one, I was all alone!!!

Never did I realize that none can understand and help
Me better than you!!!!

I have always wanted you to be proud of me; this was the reason why I was scared of letting you down with my failures, troubles and sorrows!!!
You are one person, whom I look up to at difficult times now…

I might not have expressed my love with hugs, kisses or kind words,
But in my heart you are a stalwart, the pillar of my strength,
The source of my hope, determination and confidence…
